Be a current student at the University of Houston
Provide accurate and complete information during registration
Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials

Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

3.2 Account Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. CodeCoogs may terminate your account if:

You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
You provide false information
Your University of Houston enrollment ends

Upon termination, you lose access to the Service, though we may retain records as required by law.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
Engage in spam, phishing, or social engineering
Impersonate any person or entity
Disrupt the normal operation of the Service
Scrape, crawl, or extract data without permission
Sell, trade, or resell access to the Service
Use the Service to collect personal information of other users without consent

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 CodeCoogs Content

All content provided by CodeCoogs (text, graphics, logos, images, code) is our property or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit this content without permission.

5.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, form responses, tickets). By submitting content, you grant CodeCoogs a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it for organizational purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party platforms (Stripe, Discord, Google Calendar). You agree to:

Comply with their terms of service and privacy policies
Accept that CodeCoogs is not responsible for their functionality or privacy practices
Review their policies before connecting your account

7. Payments and Refunds

7.1 Membership Dues

If you choose to pay for membership:

Payments are processed securely through Stripe
You are responsible for providing accurate payment information
Recurring charges will continue until cancelled

7.2 Refund Policy

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us to request a refund, and we will review your request within 7 business days. Refunds may be subject to conditions or deductions.

8. Points and Rewards

Points earned through events and activities are for organizational tracking purposes only
Points may be modified or reset at the discretion of CodeCoogs leadership
Points have no monetary value and cannot be traded or sold
Leaderboard rankings are subject to change and verification

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 "As-Is" Service

The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. CodeCoogs disclaims all representations and warranties, express or implied, including:

Fitness for a particular purpose
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Absence of viruses or harmful code

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeCoogs is not liable for:

Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, income, or business
Unauthorized access to your account
Service downtime or interruptions

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed $100.
